Red Cabbage was introduced to the game on September 27, 2010. This crop is unlocked at level 38, and costs 185 c per plant. Each plot that is seeded gives 2 xp, and it takes 24 hours to mature. Upon harvest, it gives 6 xp and 6 Red Cabbage. Each Red Cabbage is worth 47 c, making the average harvest value 282 c. This crop can be upgraded to the first star after harvesting 116 plots, upgraded to the second star after harvesting 350 plots, and upgraded to the third star after harvesting 700 plots. The coin bonus for each excellent plot harvested is an additional 181 c.

The description reads "Make your dishes really stand out with some red cabbage!" This description is a bit misleading. When tested on 9/30/2010, Red Cabbage could not be subsituted for regular cabbage in cooking recipes. Unknown if Meteor Games will change this at some point.
