Horned Melon was introduced to the game on January 20, 2011. This crop is unlocked at level 80, and costs 230 c per plant. Each plot that is seeded gives 2 xp, and it takes 9 hours to mature. Upon harvest, it gives 7 xp and 5 Horned Melons. Each Horned Melon is worth 56 c, making the average harvest value 280 c. This crop can be upgraded to the first star after harvesting 900 plots, upgraded to the second star after harvesting 2700 plots, and upgraded to the third star after harvesting 5400 plots. The coin bonus for each excellent plot harvested is an additional 152 c. The description reads "Tastes like a cross between a cucumber and a banana!".
